2.) What motivates you to apply for this position?

Within our ecosystem, I bring a unique skillset to objectively qualify projects based on a set of pre-existing criteria.

I am specifically motivated by the potential of Iota & Shimmer within the Web3 future. We have a very important role to play within the Shimmer Community Treasury that can either accelerate growth and adoption significantly or become a wasteful burden that weighs on our community (and all stakeholders/investors) if mismanaged.

Throughout my career and personal expedition for growth, I’ve been drawn to innovative technology and creative, applicable use-cases. This is what grabbed my attention with Iota in 2017 (in the ocean of ‘altcoins’) and has motivated me to stick along for the ride ever since.

I truly believe we are just getting started and the Shimmer Community Treasury can be an amazing way to fuel the rocket-ship of adaptability for this game changing technology. I’d also consider myself highly motivated to include the community input as a driving decision making factor.

3.) What is your educational and professional background?

My formal educational background can be broken into two sections;

Business Administration studied at Waubonsee Community College;

Marketing & Professional Sales studied at Northern Illinois University.

Board member to five (5) student organizations and active member of 10+. (events, committees, fundraisers, educational programs, etc.)

Within my professional career, I have had the privilege of working with several tech companies as well as multiple startup organizations. Two of these companies went through a fundraising period and another ultimately sold.

I have been directly responsible for sales and business development in several different industries accounting for over $5MM in revenue creation among several SMB-sized organizations. Traditionally, I’ve worked directly with business decision makers on providing the most accurate and beneficial solution but my career has also included over 100,000 ‘cold’ sales calls and training of more than 100 sales reps in the field.

Through this experience I have had several opportunities to learn and grow a team. This has helped me perfect my communication skills and problem-solving abilities dramatically.

My Web3 experience lies solely within the Iota & Shimmer community stemming from a deep personal interest in the technology. I’ve also been lucky enough to engage with many of the early/most active NFT projects within our ecosystem.

4.) What experience do you have relevant to this position (grant reviewer, Project manager, etc.)? Please describe

For 6 of 8 months since Soonaverse was released I have been an active member of the ‘Fab5’s’ approval team. What this means, is that I have worked directly with more than 50 projects applying for an NFT collection approval badge.

Personal Process for objective NFT approval/verification:

Type of project – Art based NFT or Token/Utility Focused?

Project originality – Is it created by the team, licensed artwork, or a mixture?

Ownership – How will it be created / up to date commercial license?

Credibility – Are there any websites or social media profiles currently showcasing the work?

Samples – Reverse image (and basic description) search

While this experience is directly related to reviewing projects for an NFT platform, I’ve also worked with multiple organizations while securing funding as well as initiating a sale/public offering. This provided me with insight into the diligence, details, planning, professionalism, etc., required for an organization to be considered and chosen by an investor(s).

5.) Are you a software developer? If yes, please provide info on your skills and proof of the projects you already have built/worked on (Github, languages, certificates, etc.)

N/A

6.) Do you have affiliations that may cause a conflict of interest when reviewing applications? The community would like to know particularly if reviewers are involved with projects as a creator, on the board, or employed. Please list any projects or applications you have affiliations to.

*Note: This will in no way prevent you from being elected to the position. It is the opposite. We seek experienced reviewers that are specialists in different industries. The reviewers with affiliations will not be able to review grants within their category; however, they will be great resources and act as subject-matter experts.

I am involved and receive tokens or other benefits from the following projects:

• IOTA Content Creators DAO (marketing / shill team)
• Soon_Labs – Community NFT Collection Approver (voluntary)
• ApeDAO - Chief Community Ape (voluntary)
• Iotabots – Discord/Community Moderator (voluntary)

**Working on two independent projects (public details to come) which will primarily be governed by active and motivated members on the community
**Active member/participant in 10+ iota projects

7.) Are you willing to sign a legally binding service provider contract and reveal and verify your identity through a KYC process with the legal entity of the Treasury Committee?

Yes, I welcome the opportunity to share my identity in order to objectively contribute to the reviewing process. I will also commit the necessary time and legal obligations as needed.

8.) Can you commit 10 hours weekly on average to work as a grant reviewer for the Shimmer community over the next 12 months?

Yes, if selected for this position, I will commit my full time and attention to the work needed to be done in order to utilize the Shimmer treasury effectively and appropriately.

9.) If you are voted in the top 2 reviewers, you may have the option to join the Growth Committee and work with the TEA representatives. In this case, you may be required to work hours over the required 10 hrs per week. Are you able to commit to this if required?

Yes, similar to my answer above. When selected, this role will become my full focus which will include all the time necessary to complete the work in the best way for the community.

10.) Are you willing to sign a service provider contract, including an NDA with the Tangle Ecosystem Association, and respect the Non-Disclosure Agreement if selected as a member of the Growth Committee? Breaking the Non-Disclosure Agreement may bring consequences financially and or legally.

Yes. I am willing to KYC, sign any NDA necessary, and to hold them both to the highest integrity.
I have previous experience working with teams that required NDA’s and will place a heavy emphasis on privacy and protection of any involved party’s proprietary information & property.

11.) Provide any web links or supporting documentation you would like the community to see when assessing you for the Shimmer Community Treasury Grant Reviewer position.

12.) What is your long-term vision of the Shimmer Community Treasury? How do you see the Community Treasury affecting the Shimmer & IOTA ecosystem, and what does the Shimmer & IOTA Ecosystem look to you in three years?

To me, I feel the Shimmer Community Treasury is an incredible opportunity to increase Iota/Shimmer awareness and to ultimately continue building in our ecosystem. This treasury fund is a unique way to include projects that may lack the resources to make an impact in the space.

In my opinion, it’s equally important to distribute the treasury to as many different individuals and projects as it is to spread the funds out as long as possible. I think most would agree that global adoption won’t occur overnight from a few, specific, centralized projects.

In three years, Iota & Shimmer will look incredibly different. Mainly through the sheer volume of users and adoption. This will come directly from creative use cases built on Shimmer & Iota, some of which have yet to be conceptualized.

Another large factor in this will be the companies, corporations, and projects that will follow to have a massive impact. It appears from even an outside perspective that the Shimmer release has been successful with an EVM release on the horizon there isn’t much more that needs to occur for an Iota 2.0 Mainnet.

Real world adoption has been designated as the holy grail for us Iota investors, which is getting closer and closer to our reality. With over 270+ patents referencing Iota and 100 dApps building within the Shimmer environment it paints a clear picture of the future. Expansion. Growth. Adoptability.

Thank you for any & all consideration!
