2.) What motivates you to apply for this position?
Trained as a physicists, I really believe IOTA/Shimmer is the best L1 DLT protocol from first principle design and do the thing right, plus thet IOTA/Shimmer community is indeed amazing. So I want to help IOTA/Shimmer to build up its application layer (like DeFi and Privacy Dapp) and gain awareness (like NFT Campaign and Exchange integration) with my experience and expertise in the crypto space with the Shimmer community treasury.

IOTA Evangelist since 2017
Stare to explore the crypto space back in 2017/2018, I immediate fall in love with IOTA since then (buy IOTA every month is part of my life). Then I become the cofounder of IOTA Taiwan Community in early 2018 and become the main person running the community for more than four years. (Facebook mandarin community with close to 7k people and Telegram mandarin community with more than 1.5k people) -
DeFi power user since 2019
I dive into DeFi before Ethereum DeFi summer 2020. After creating a Vault on Maker and swapping token on Uniswap in 2019, I really get hooked up by the potential of DeFi. In 2020, I cofound the Superfluid Virtual Currency Community, one of the largest DeFi community in Taiwan, currently with more than 4k people. I go through all the major DeFi milestones, like Comp farming, Crv airdrop, mine Sushi and so on. Test new protocols, reading their product documentation, and understand the token economics are like my second nature ever since. -
Solana Taiwan Community since 2021
After experiencing the high fees of ETH at the late 2020, I start to explore different L1, including Cosmos, Matic, BSC and Algo. At the end, I cofound and establish the Solana Taiwan community and witness the Solana Summer 2021. We host AMA, do Podcast and translate articles across Solana Ecosystem. For now it’s the official Solana mandarin community.

4.) What experience do you have relevant to this position (grant reviewer, Project manager, etc.)? Please describe
As mentioned above, I have the physics PhD with academic background. So I prefer to analyse problems and go through the details from first principle rather than analogy. And since I am a DeFi native user who have dived into different L1 and DeFi ecosystem, I have the experience about how to review application projects and how this projects could benefits the underneath Shimmer network. For the DAO governance, I already have experience in Governance with two Solana projects: Orca and Mango Markets.
5.) Are you a software developer? If yes, please provide info on your skills and proof of the projects you already have built/worked on (Github, languages, certificates, etc.)
Not really. But I do have the skills to do data analysis, plotting figure and scientific research tasks with use python and matlab for my quantum computation experiments.

12.) What is your long-term vision of the Shimmer Community Treasury? How do you see the Community Treasury affecting the Shimmer & IOTA ecosystem, and what does the Shimmer & IOTA Ecosystem look to you in three years?
IOTA/Shimmer is the holy grail of DLT, our vision is not only the next big thing, but the LAST big things. IOTA/Shimmer do have the best tech in the space, then we need to have infrastructure(like naming system, NFT marketplace) and dev community to have products. With Shimmer Community Treasury, we could fund the projects to generous enough for them focus on building, but not too generous for people to be lack of motivation. The Shimmer Community Treasury will ignite the organic and exponential growth of the ecosystem.
In three years, I believe IOTA/Shimmer will be top tier L1 with dozens of chains built on top of the tangle. The potential of the best DLT techs will be released and people will start to treat the IOTA/Shimmer as the endgame for DLT.
