- funding just for the sake of funding and thus funding wrong projects like scams (we currently have a lot of those) Getting quality applicants depends much more on projects and ecosystem than on salary.
or - burning of funds. Due to the lack of fund worthy projects salaries will be paid for nothing as you have nothing to fund.
The key here is to stay flexible and adopt. Make the salaries dependent on the projects and maybe the market cap of Shimmer. It’s a simple formula and also creates stakes for the community grant committee and program lead.
